The Kingdom of Terinthia Needs Your Help

The Queen’s heir, Princess Lira, disappeared mysteriously. The Princess was the Kingdom’s pride, with her political expertise and love for her people, citizen’s were honoured to see her as their heir. But when she ventured on a trade expedition to the Western Sea, her ship was lost to a thunderstorm. Monarchs of Terinthia are only allowed to reign for 50 years in accordance with tradition. Though all mourn the loss of the Princess, they must crown a new ruler. The Queen has insisted on waiting for the Princess for 5 years, tradition dictates that she must now choose a new heir.

Four princes have come forward in pursuit of winning the crown and becoming the heir to the Eternal Throne. To select Therinthia’s next’s ruler, the Queen is hosting a ball in which each prince must showcase why they are best suited to wear the crown. The princes have their own strengths, but will their egos be their folly? Help the Queen choose the next heir to Terinthia at the Eternal Throne Ball.

Coach Service to the event

Why not skip the stress of arranging transport to the venue? The coach service is a private hire vehicle that will take you from Central Milton Keynes (A town just 30 minutes from London by train) right to the Front Lawn at Stowe House.

This round trip service will have two departure times:

–15:45 departure: Arrives at venue at approx 16:20.

–16:45 departure: Arrives at venue at approx 17:20.

Both shuttles shall collect from the venue at 23:20 and return guests to Milton Keynes around 23:59.

What to wear?

Outfits and Accessories

What is the theme?

The Eternal Throne Ball is inspired by the early Victorian era, where candlelit balls took place in great palaces. Where royal guards would pine after princesses, where the courtiers gossiped and where coronations took place. Think of ornate ballgowns and elegant frills. Some great fashion references including Anna Karenina (2012), Cinderella (2015), Sissi (1955), Victoria (2016).

What should I wear?

We do not require guests to adhere to a specific time period, however, formalwear is required which includes dresses reaching at least reaching between below ankle and the floor (Slits and high-low skirts are permitted). We do request that all guests wear formal shoes. If you have trainers or street shoes, please find proper coverage for them such as shoe covers. This can be either ballerina flats, heels, dress shoes or boots. Shoes MUST stay on. Go to our blog page to find men’s and women’s outfit guides!

Are prop weapons allowed?

At this ball, prop weapons will be permitted as accessories. These can be made with hard insides but padded with foam outsides. Prop guns, bows and crossbows will not be permitted if they have accompanying projectiles. For example, you may bring a bow but no arrows. Staffs are accepted but must have foam padding, or must be checked by staff upon arrival.

Can I get dressed once I arrive at the venue?

We ask that all guests arrive fully in costume as getting dressed at the venue would cause a traffic issue and also break immersion for fellow guests.

Can I wear wings?

While we typically allow wings at our events, this venue has a quite a few narrow corridors. Therefore, we ask you to refrain from wearing wings indoors. If you do wear wings, please ensure they are a maximum of 60cm in width.

Food and Drinks

What food and drink is offered at the ball?

Your ticket includes a glass of prosecco and three canapés. Additional drinks and snacks are available to purchase at the bar. We also ensure that there are water stations available around the venue for guests.

Are dietary requirements catered for?

We try our best to ensure that dietary restrictions are met. We shall send out a form for dietary requirements closer to the date of the ball. We also recommend that guests with an Adventurer’s or Odyssey ticket get a larger meal in during the afternoon before the ball.

Is there a bar?

We offer guests a complimentary glass of prosecco upon entry (Or a non-alcoholic alternative). Then, we offer a bar where you can purchase drinks with card.

Should I eat beforehand?

Our event is focused on dancing, community and festivities. Therefore, we serve a limited amount of canapés. We always recommend you to eat a large meal before attending.

Photo & Video

Can I bring my camera to the ball?

Cameras are welcome to be used within the venue for those with early access tier between 16:30-17:30. After this time, we ask you to refrain from bringing cameras larger than a polaroid or digital camera, as this may cause confusion to guests as to who the photography team are. Therefore, please do not bring mirrorless or DSLR cameras. We also ask that no obscured recording devices are used such as recording glasses to ensure the safety of fellow guests.

Is there a photographer?

Yes! We have a wonderful event photographer who will capture the festivities throughout the ball. We cannot guarantee that she can capture everyone, so if you would like a picture from her, please just ask and she can take one.

When will the photo gallery be available?

Our photo galleries will be available to download around 3 weeks after the ball.

Will video be available to download?

Unfortunately, we are unable to give video content to guests due to Instagram and TikTok copyright regulations. However, we try to post as much video content as possible on our social media!

Accessibility

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Yes! This venue has a lift that is accessible through a side entrance. Once you arrive at the venue, request a staff member to show you to the lift. The majority of activities take place on one floor. The historical dance workshops have been adjusted to accommodate wheelchairs. If you are a wheelchair user who would like to participate in a historical dance, simply find any staff member. Staff members have light up wristbands to signal.

Does the venue have parking?

Yes! Parking is available on site.

Do you provide Carer Tickets?

Yes, we provide carer tickets for both tiers (Please note that carers do not receive the commemorative invites in the Noble Tier). Essential Companion tickets are intended for customers requiring additional support. This must be due to disability-related needs, significant and in excess of what could be reasonably expected of family or friends already accompanying you.

The following forms of evidence are eligible for Essential Companion tickets:
      – Front page of DLA / PIP (no specific rate)
      – Front page of Attendance Allowance letter (no specific rate)
      – Evidence that registered severely sight impaired (blind)
– Credability’s Access Card (www.accesscard.org.uk)

Once you purchase your ticket, please email us with one form of evidence and we are able to issue you a free carer ticket. You have one week to submit the evidence after purchasing a ticket.

Will there be flashing lights?

As we have a DJ set, there will be flashing lights. We cannot guarantee how many other rooms may also contain flashing lights as they may be incorporated for performances.

Will there be seating?

For those needing a rest, seating is available throughout the venue.

Can I bring my assistance dog?

Yes! Previous service animals have even dressed up to match their owners. Please email us beforehand to make us aware. Our email is mysticfateuk@gmail.com.

Tickets, Resales and Refunds

How old do you have to be to attend?

Our events are 18+. 17 year olds who book tickets must be 18 by the day of the event.

Do I have to bring ID with me?

Yes, all guests are required to provide a valid ID. This can include passport, drivers license or a PASS ID. Our priority is seeing your age match to your face. Therefore, if you have a deadname or a name not associated to the ticket, this is absolutely okay.

What is your refund policy?

100% Refund Period
Customers can request a full 100% within the first 14 days of ticket purchase. Simply email mysticfateuk@gmail.com with your order number and let us know you would like a refund.

No Refund Period – Ticket Transfer and Resale Allowed

After 14 days from the initial ticket purchase date, guests can no longer request a refund. Instead, you are able to resell your ticket on Tixel, an ethical and trustworthy third-party ticketing resale site. Tickets can be resold up until the 17th March (Additional fees may apply as it is a Third-Party Platform). You may alternatively privately transfer the ticket to a friend. In that case, please notify us of the transfer so we change the name and email on the whole order.

No Transfer Period

From 18th March, we no longer allow ticket transfers of any kind. We unfortunately cannot make any exceptions to this rule, as we will have paid the venue and suppliers for your attendance by then. We apologise that we are not able to accommodate this.

How can I resell my ticket?

You are able to resell your ticket on Tixel, an ethical and trustworthy third-party ticketing resale site. Tickets can be resold up until the 25th August. (Additional fees may apply as it is a Third-Party Platform). After this time, resale and refund is no longer available under any exceptions. Click here to sell your ticket.

Once you purchase your ticket, you shall recieve an invite to our Discord server. The link will be found on your confirmation email.

I want to propose at the ball, how do I do that?

Congratulations on taking such a special step! We would be happy to be the setting for the occasion. Please email us at mysticfateuk@gmail.com at least 3 months before the event, but ideally email when you buy your ticket so to ensure that we can find the perfect moment for you. Please also be aware that other proposals may also occur during the ball, but we try to space them out so they all feel unique and special to each couple.

Can I arrive to the estate early?

Please arrive a maximum of 30 minutes before your ticket slot.

Does my ticket give me access to National Trust Gardens?

The National Trust gardens are a separate entity from Stowe House. If you would like to visit the gardens before the ball, you will need to pay for a ticket through the National Trust site.

I plan on taking a taxi/uber to the venue. Is that possible?

Taking a taxi or an uber to the venue is possible! However, we do recommend pre-booking as availability may be low. For your return journey to Milton Keynes, pre-booking is ESSENTIAL.
